Preseason player spotlight the Donovan Dent arrival

The UCLA Bruins swooped in and grabbed arguably the best portal transfer of the offseason in Donovan Dent. After a disappointing round of 32 exit to Tennessee last season. Something needed to change for the Bruins to get back into March Madness consideration. Enter one of the early favorites to be an All-American in Dent. He chose the Bruins for his opportunity at winning over larger deals that could've netted him more NIL money.

Dent is one of the best scorers in the country that can do it with an array of moves. He can score from outside and drive the paint. He provides something to the UCLA offense that has not been seen since the special Johnny Juzang run that they had in 2021. Dent had averages of 20.4 points and 6.4 assists per night on 49/40.9/78.4 shooting splits. Also worth mentioning that he has a clutch gene in him and good luck trying to defend him one on one downhill.

UCLA currently ranks as then 13th best odds in the nation in their bid to win their record 12th NCAA championship.
