UCLA football final seven-round NFL mock draft: Laiatu Latu stays in LA

Darius Muasau could eventually play a role in the NFL as a rotational off-ball linebacker, but for now, he’ll need to primarily play on special teams until he can develop in coverage. Muasau isn’t going to have the athleticism to cover up for immaturity on the field, but once he adapts to NFL football, he’s smart enough to cover up for his lack of arm length or explosive first step.
The Green Bay Packers have one of the most well-rounded rosters in the NFL. Brian Gutekunst has invested heavily on the defensive side of the ball in the draft, but the team could use some depth at linebacker behind Quay Walker and Isaiah McDuffie.
Green Bay also prefers to draft downhill linebackers, like Walker who was a first-rounder in 2022, which would make Muasau a fit. He’ll be best as a run-defender while he develops in coverage.
