If UCLA is interested in going and getting a true big man. There is a brand new player in the portal from Providence in Oswin Erhunmwunse. With him entering, he becomes one of the best defensive players to input his name into the mix. Last season Erhunmwunse averaged 2.1 blocks per game and he is an immediate game changer on defense and a good rebounder.

Erhunmwunse averaged 6.9 points and 8.3 rebounds per game this past season.https://t.co/ya52Z7vyMA pic.twitter.com/Sko8YEJSPc
Erhunmwunse still has the ability to develop his offensive game. He didn’t provide much on that end, but he didn’t take many shots per game. As he only shot 4.5 shots per game and made three of them. Good for a 67.3% field goal percentage. He is a good player to be around the basket and good at cleaning up misses. Standing at 6’10 he takes up good space in the paint.
On the season Erhunmwunse averaged 6.9 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. He finished his second year at Providence and will have two years of eligibility remaining. That gives him time to continue to grow his game in a new system. With his defense already at an elite level, a new coaching staff can work on building his offensive game. Leading to him becoming an NBA Draft prospect in the future with the abilities he has in his game.

UCLA will have options on what they want to do with their starting lineup next year. But the consensus seems to be going back to a three-guard set with Eric Dailey Jr. at the four and a true big man. Xavier Booker announced that he will return to the team next year. He played some of his best basketball coming off of the bench and maybe that could be future plans for him. With a true big man to occupy the five spot next year.
