UCLA is back home to face Nebraska at the Rose Bowl. After a bye week the Bruins will look to get back on track and flush the 56-6 loss away to Indiana. Sitting at 3-5, the three game winning streak was ended in a game that Indiana had won from the start. UCLA never seemed to really show up and Big Noon Kickoff turned out to be a big disappointment.

The key emphasis for tonight will be getting the offense back on track. It really seemed to stall in the Maryland game for the most part and then all of the Indiana game. Jerry Neuheisel will be tasked with opening up the playbook and seeing if he can adapt his offense. There are growing pains to be expected with a coach who has never called plays until last month. The last four games will prove to be a test for him and his future.
The defense which also struggled in the Indiana game. They did have a few bright spots although they gave up as many points as they did. First and second down UCLA stood tall, but they gave up 14-18 on third down with 10 of them being in 3rd and 7 and longer. If they can string together all three downs, they can recreate the defensive effort that they had against Maryland.
Nebraska comes into the game at 6-3 and now some drama in the past. There was rumors Matt Rhule was going to leave. But those were put to rest when he signed a two-year contract extension. Now they look to get back on track after losing their starting quarterback Dylan Raiola for the year.

Nebraska still possesses a really good defense. They should be able to throw different looks at Jerry Neuheisel. Having a new quarterback will test Kevin Coyleโs game plan on defense. We expect a low scoring game but just barely going over the 43.5-point total and UCLA covering 1.5 points.
Prediction: UCLA 24 - Nebraska 20
