The UCLA Bruins are now winners of three straight Big Ten games as they win on a field goal by Mateen Bhaghani with two seconds left. On a night that didn't feature much offense and both defenses played great. Malik Washington and Nico Iamaleava both showed up when it mattered most. Washington led his Terps on a game tying touchdown drive only to have Iamaleava drive the UCLA offense down for a game winning field goal.

Kevin Coyle helped devise an amazing gameplan on defense to keep Washington at bay most of the night. He was 23-48 for 210 yards and 1 touchdown and 1 interception. But until the final drive he was 19-40 for 179 yards and an interception. All of the defense was flying around most of the night and by far played their best game of the season on the ground and in the air. They had two goal to go stops that stalled any momentum that Maryland had.

On offense Anthony Frias II led the way, he only had four carries but he made sure that they were effective for two big runs. He had a 55 yard touchdown run and then a long run to put UCLA in position to win the game. Titus Mokiao-Atimalala finished the game with six catches for 102 yards leading the receivers.

UCLA heads to Indiana next week for the Big Noon Kickoff game. They are riding a three game winning streak but will now matchup against one of the best teams in the country. If UCLA is able to somehow win that game that would be something else after the way this team looked at 0-4 just two weeks ago. But let's enjoy this one for now and thank Tim Skipper for promoting Coyle who has transformed this defense into an absolute beast!
