Once UCLA finishes their game against Iowa. They will have a home game on February 4 against Rutgers. Rutgers is near the bottom of the Big Ten and should be an easy win for this Bruins team. UCLA is playing better than any team in the country outside of UCONN and are looking to make this an historic season. That would be concluding the season with a championship banner and sending these seniors off to the WNBA. If there was a team to do it, this would be the team.
Rutgers is 9-12 on the season and has struggled the majority of it. They can score the ball pretty decently with four players in double digits. Led by junior Nene Ndiaye who averages 14.2 points and 5.4 rebounds per game. The problem is over their last nine games they have really struggled defensively. Losing eight of those games after an 8-4 start. A win over UCLA would really help their confidence. But the fact of the matter is UCLA is just way above what Rutgers is.
A new career-high is in town for Nene Ndiaye 🚨

The positive part about the Bruins this season is they have also not played down to their opponents. The women have taken every matchup seriously and put their foot on the pedal and stayed on it. Not letting any teams get back into the game. Once they jump out to the lead, they make sure that they keep a good level ahead. In most games that have been close they seem to go on a run to put the game away as well. Proving how elite they have and will continue to be.
We are expecting an easy win for UCLA and moving to 22-1 on the season if they get a win over Iowa which we expect as well. It will be tough for UCLA to be able to pass UCONN. As the Huskies are expected to go undefeated this season. But ultimately that will not matter come March. Records reset and UCLA if all goes to plan will have their opportunity at revenge. They need to make sure if it happens, they make the best of it.
