Lena Bilić is one of the few players on the UCLA roster that is not a senior. She is a freshman along with Sienna Betts. Bilić has received very valuable minutes so far this year. That will help her become a better player in her UCLA career. The freshman is averaging 17.3 minutes per game. Her shooting splits are not the best at 34.8/21.4/100. But she plays hard and she is learning around some of the best in the country. This will help her become a better player and gain more experience as each games passes.

Bilić has been an option off of the bench for Cori Close for most of the season along with Angela Dugalić. With Betts return it gives her a good trio off of the bench to bring, allowing the offense to continue to flow smoothly. UCLA has great chemistry, and they are operating on both ends at an elite level. She showcased some of her scoring skills against Oregon and Southern where she scored 13 and 14 points. Showing the growth that she is making this season.

Bilić was an unranked prospect but played professionally in Croatia for a squad named club ZKK Tresnjevka 2009. Averaging 18 points, 7.1 assists and 6.3 rebounds per game. It was a great find by UCLA to be able to bring her in along with Betts. Showing the duo can be the 1-2 punch that UCLA needs as they set to graduate out at least seven players after this season. Bilić is a tough defender that plays well in a team setting. At 6’3 she possesses good size as a guard and can operate the floor smoothly.

Bilić will continue to grow as each game goes on. The numbers will start to increase, and her shooting will get better. There is plenty of tape on her to show that she can do it. Playing professionally is not easy to do and she dominated at some phases. The competition is better now that she is at UCLA. But her growth will take shape, and she will catch up to the speed of the game. She is very talented, and UCLA was very lucky to get her. Fans should be excited for her and Betts future.
