Lauren Betts has been on a tear lately for UCLA. Proving to get back to her 2024 self where she was an anchor on offense and defense. Her numbers are down from last season, but she is getting back to having that efficiency. This UCLA team is completely stacked and they don’t need her to score 22 points and have 11 rebounds every night. Because 18 points and nine rebounds with high efficiency will do the same thing or even better.
Betts started this season as the consensus No. 1 pick in the 2026 WNBA Draft. With a slow start to the season she was passed by Awa Fam and Azzi Fudd in multiple mock drafts. But depending on the need of position. A center is highly possible for the Dallas Wings and could alter their franchise on both ends. Betts can be elite on offense and defense and there are not many options over the years that can do that at the center position.
Lauren Betts’ size (she stands at 6’7”) is only further bolstered by her natural defensive instincts

Over her last five games, Betts is averaging 19 points and 12 rebounds per game. Anchoring the UCLA offense through some tough matchups. Including Michigan and Michigan State, who are both in the top 13. Betts has shaken off her early season injury and gotten back to performing at the highest level possible. Averaging 16.7 points and 8.4 rebounds per game. While bumping her field goal percentage back up to 57.3% after it was in the low 50s earlier in the season.
Betts will have one more regular season game against USC on the road. Before this Bruins team heads into the Big Ten tournament. She played her last game in Pauley Pavilion against Wisconsin. Going out with 19 points and 14 rebounds. Being decorated as one of the best UCLA women’s players of all time. Now it is time to cap it off with a march run to try and hang a banner as she heads out as a UCLA graduate.
