Jrue Holiday continues to play really good basketball in the month of March for the Portland Trail Blazers. He is helping lead a young as they fight for a play in spot for the NBA playoffs. Holiday has played in six games in the month of March and in five of those games has at least 20 points. Shooting the ball very well and leading the team in scoring during that stretch. Holiday has been known as an elite defender in his career beyond is growing his offensive game late in his career.

Holiday only spent one season at UCLA. It was seen as a bridge season, as many knew he was going to be one and done. He was too good to be in college but had to play one year. He didn’t have off the chart stats, only averaging 8.5 points per game. After that season he went No. 17 overall to the Philadelphia 76ers where he became an All-Star in the 2012 season. Becoming an up-and-coming guard and a big part of their future.

He would then be traded to the Pelicans where he would become a consistent 20 points per game player and one of the best guard defenders in the league. Holiday plays very good sound defense and can completely take away team’s best players. 1-on-1 defense is hard to do in today’s game. But Holiday is able to do it with the best of them. Even at 35 years old, he uses his smart instincts to be able to keep in front of players still that are younger than him.

Overall Holiday is a three time All-NBA First Team defense and three time All-NBA Second Team defense. He has created a great career that has spanned multiple teams. While winning NBA championships with both the Milwaukee Bucks and Boston Celtics as one of their best defenders. He is the definition of a glue guy and now he is helping lead a young team at 35 years old. Proving to still show he has a lot of basketball left in his NBA career.
