Gianna Kneepkens similar to Gabriela Jaquez is playing the best basketball of her career at the right time. With her being in her senior season and the WNBA Draft just around the corner. Kneepkens has skyrocketed herself into the potential to be a top 5 pick. After she started the season just outside of the top 10 at number 11 going off of ESPN projections. Kneepkens has been the perfect transfer addition for the Bruins. Being a missing piece to a championship contender and helping her draft status.

Those two prospects combined have been a big part of UCLA’s success this season. As the team looks to win a championship before their entire starting lineup graduates this is the team that could do it. Kneepkens has become one of the most efficient shooters in the nation while also providing very good defense. She communicates well on both ends of the floor and has fit in seamlessly to this team along with Charlisse Leger-Walker.

Gianna Kneepkens continues successful college career after four seasons at Utah

Kneepkens had a very great career at Utah and then became a grad transfer this past season. Ultimately landing with UCLA and becoming possibly the best transfer out of everyone in the country. UCLA was already a very good team, but they were still missing a few things to try and knock off UCONN. The team that still stays in front of the Bruins as we march on towards the NCAA tournament, the two teams could be on a crash course to play each other depending on regions.

Kneepkens has had a quiet last four games. Struggling a little bit on the offensive ends. But it is not a cause for concern, considering how great she was before that. A drop off was expected at some point. Her defense has proven to still be elite during that stretch. If she can affect the game on that end, her shooting will come back, and she will be even better. It is best to have a shooting slump now compared to when the Big Ten tournament starts.
