Quentin Lake is a former UCLA Bruin who played with the team from 2017-2021 where he earned Second-team All-Pac 12 his last season. He is also the son of Carnell Lake who was on the NFL All Decade-Team of the 1990's. Quentin who was drafted by the Rams has asserted himself into the starting lineup and is playing a key role for the team. Lake registered a sack in today’s game and has been playing well in coverage.

The Los Angeles Rams have Super Bowl aspirations this season and Lake is playing a huge part in helping that cause. When Lake was drafted in the 6th round of the 2022 NFL draft, he started that season on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list. Once he came back, he had a rough start tackling and covering but has picked up his play and become a solid starter in the league.

When a player is drafted in the 6th round, most would be considered fringe players. Lucky to make it as a reserve player and your role may be limited to special teams. Lake has defied that draft position and showed what he has to offer to one of the best teams in the NFC.

On the season Lake has 1.5 sacks, 1 interception, 1 tackle for loss, 1 forced fumble and 45 tackles out of the nickelback position. Fans have been impressed with they are seeing out of him. The former Bruin had himself a day in London.

It is always fun to see former Bruins exceeding in the NFL. Regardless of draft position, players can make an impact with a great work ethic and putting in extra work with coaches. Lake has proven that to be the case and is making a lot of team's regret passing on him in the 2022 NFL Draft.
