Eric Dailey Jr. was a key part of UCLA‘s team the last two seasons. Early on in the offseason he announced that he would return for his senior season at UCLA. Making him the second leading scorer to return from last season’s team. With the top two scoring options in Tyler Bilodeau and Donovan Dent graduating out. Dailey Jr. and his 11.6 points per game return only behind Trent Perry’s 12.6 points per game.

Dailey Jr. will be expected to play a big role on the 2026. The team will need him to up his scoring average to around 15 points per night. Showing growth in his game and helping fill some of the void that was left. as Skyy Clark also departed the program and he averaged 11.5 points per game. The Bruins will need contributions from everyone. They know they will get it from Perry, but others will need to do the same.

UCLA is still in the running for some players in the transfer portal to provide a scoring boost. Such as a star player in Tounde Yessoufou which would tremendously help this offense. Dailey Jr. has all the tools to be a future NBA player. He is very fluid and lanky and moves the floor very well. He has shown that he can hit the 3-point shot, but struggled last season at 31.6%. In his senior season, he will need to find that consistency from range again.

Dailey Jr. will also need to be versatile in the lineup next season. He has the ability to play both the small and power forward positions. The remaining transfer portal time will determine which position he will play the majority of. As UCLA is looking to get a traditional center and a wing to add to this team. But we expect Dailey Jr. to show growth in his game as he plays to make his way onto NBA radars in his last college season.
