Kiki Rice had a phenomenal senior season for the UCLA Bruins. She led the way at the point guard position on offense and was stellar on the defense of end as well. Leading to UCLA having one of the best defenses in the country. While also having an elite offense that could generate good looks. Rice began her college career in 2022 and struggled with her 3-point shot only shooting 21.7%. But three years later she almost doubled that to 40.8%. Showing the tremendous growth in her game

She came very close to having an elusive 50/40/90 shooting season. Showing to be consistent all season long for a Bruins team that went 28-1. Brushing off an early season loss to Texas to go on a long 22 game winning streak. UCLA’s best player is Lauren Betts, but Rice is the engine that makes everything go. She sets the tone on offense by running the plays and is the first one out on the perimeter on defense.
Rice season has led to her being in the top seven of some WNBA mock drafts. She can change the game on both ends of the floor and has a hard work ethic. Her 2024 season was hampered by injury. But she was able to come back this season and show how good she can be when fully healthy. When she graduates, it will be very hard to replace the production that she has at the point guard position.
Kiki Rice’s ability to manipulate the defense as she facilitates the pick and roll is part of what makes her bound for big things at the WNBA level

She understands where the help will come from as she applies rim pressures and sprays it out for an open 3 pic.twitter.com/EjwdtKPPjF
Rice will have the Big Ten tournament and March Madness now to end out her UCLA career. Hopefully going out with a national championship and a banner to hang. She is one of the best rebounding guards in the nation with 6.3 rebounds per game. It was also a huge part of her success with the offense. When your point guard is able to get a rebound and eliminate a pass. You’re able to get out in transition much faster. Catching defenses off guard before they can get back.
