Devin Williams was a part of the UCLA roster in the 2023-24 season where he played in 10 games as a freshman. He then redshirted for the 2024-25 season and hit the transfer portal, landing with Florida Atlantic for the 2025-26 season. With UCLA in need of getting a center, could he possibly be an option to return to the Bruins? He averaged 2.6 blocks per game last season, which would be huge for this team in the middle.

Williams should have three years of eligibility remaining. After only playing in 10 games his freshman season he should be able to get another year of eligibility. UCLA needs to bring in another big man to play and split minutes with Xavier Booker. With options quickly running out through the transfer portal. UCLA still has two open scholarships remaining and need to make a move quickly for a wing and center to help complete the roster for 2026.

The Bruins face a season that is very critical for their team. After two quick NCAA tournament exits in the round of 32. They need to start making some noise again as that is not UCLA basketball. One that is accustomed to deep runs into the tournament and a record 11 national championships. They have struck out on many top targets this offseason and now look to scrape up some players that are still out there.

Williams will continue to get better and better through his college career. Expanding his offensive game to provide more to an offensive unit. But his elite defense in blocking shots could be crucial for this team. Booker is a very athletic player that can block shots and Williams can do the same. Helping provide UCLA with more interior presence, after being one of the bottom ranked teams in the nation at blocking shots.
