Charlisse Leger-Walker opened up her WNBA career tonight and her first preseason game for the Connecticut Sun. She had a decent game putting the ball in the basket going 3-4 for eight points. While she did struggle with five turnovers, she showed glimpses of what she can do with her all-around game. As she also had four assists and a steal plus a block. She did a lot of the little things for UCLA which helped her get drafted.

Earlier this month, she was the sixth and final player drafted from UCLA. Helping the school set a record for picks in a WNBA draft. She teams up with former UCLA teammate Gianna Kneepkens at the professional level. As it became a full circle moment that both of them were transfers to UCLA. Helping be the two key pieces they needed to win a championship.

Leger-Walker has a lot about her game to like. She can score the ball when you need her to, but she is also a great passer and rebounder. Over her first four seasons at Washington State she needed to be the leading scorer. But once she got to UCLA that was not needed as much with a stacked roster. So she altered her game and became more efficient than she ever was in her college career.

Leger-Walker has a perfect style of game that will transfer over well to the WNBA. She will be able to rebound and get out in transition and use her elite passing skills. She can go and get you 10 points if you need it or 10 assists and 10 rebounds. Her game has also really improved to her 3-point shot as she upped that to 35.5% in her senior year. Proving her work ethic will continue to grow her game.
