Quentin Lake is in the middle of a breakout season with the Los Angeles Rams. It was on display again this afternoon as the Rams picked up another win to move to 7-2 on the season. Lake finished the game with 11 tackles, one QB hit and a crucial two-point conversion interception. Helping seal the win and any comeback bid the San Francisco 49ers might've had in them late in the fourth quarter.

Lake who is coming off a tremendous season last year, is following up with an even better one this year. He has 58 tackles, 10 passes defensed, two QB hits, one fumble recovery and is playing tremendous coverage. He is well on his way to a Pro Bowl bid and a contract extension. He has far surpassed what the Rams may have believed they would get out of him as a 6th round draft pick. A lot of players drafted number 211 either become practice squad guys or fringe special teams' players.

It goes far to show that Tom Brady and Kevin Burkhardt on multiple occasions pointed out how great of a game and season Lake is having. The Rams who are legit Super Bowl contenders are playing well on both sides of the ball. If they can continue the high-level play, this could definitely be a team that is representing the NFC come February.

Lake who is the son of Carnell Lake also a UCLA legend. is helping carry his dad's legacy on the defensive side of the football. It is great to see that they were both Bruins as well. Quentin has defied his draft position and now teams have to regret passing on him. His work ethic and drive to be a great player have paid off. The Rams continue to have themselves a gem.
