Former Bruin Kyle Anderson AKA Slo Mo, has put together a solid NBA career. Many people questioned if his style of game could work in the NBA. He plays at a very slow pace and is not a very fast player. But he has put those questions to rest. Now carving out a 12 year career helping some good teams along the way.

Anderson spent two years at UCLA for the 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 seasons. Becoming a player that was now circled around the new phrase of being a point forward. Which is a forward that can control the ball as a point guard. He was an exceptional rebounder, he had tremendous vision and could score the ball when needed.

Anderson became a third team All-American his senior year. Which included 48/48.3/73.7 shooting splits and a Sweet 16 appearance where the team lost to Florida. Shortly after that game, Anderson inserted his name into the 2014 NBA Draft. He snuck his way into the first round being drafted with the last pick by the San Antonio Spurs. Seemingly a perfect project player for Gregg Popovich.

Anderson played sparingly with the Spurs. But when he did, he was very effective on the floor as a rebounder and passer. Anderson would then sign an offer sheet with the Memphis Grizzlies which the Spurs refused to match. This allowed him a chance at more playing time. He would spend four years there averaging 8.5 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.9 assists.

Over the last three years Anderson has bounced around. He has been on four teams but that hasnโ€™t changed his mindset. Now with the Utah Jazz, he continues to be a consistent player. He can shoot the ball well, still is a plus rebounder and a great passer. Pretty good for a guy that people were scared off of his slow pace.
