Bangot Dak became one of the more athletic big men to enter the transfer portal. As the Colorado Buffaloes have seen many of their players, hit the portal in recent days. Dak is a very intriguing player that is now looking for a new school. He plays above the rim and runs the floor very well. Also, being a very capable defender that is able to block shots. Another type of player that UCLA should be interested in as they look to retool their roster to build a contender.

Dak last season for Colorado averaged 11.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game. Doing so on 49.2% shooting from the field. He will have one year of eligibility left for whatever school he decides on next. He has gotten better each year of college since only playing seven minutes per game his freshman year and not having much of an impact. The next school that gets him for his senior year will be banking on big potential and his crazy athleticism that he possesses.
Dak is a 7 foot forward and that could allow the Bruins to keep Xavier Booker at the center position. Depending on what Eric Dailey Jr. does as well. There are many options that the Bruins could do. They definitely need to improve their paint protection because outside of Booker they do not have any. Dak could step right in and do that and help this team defensively.

Dak is the latest Colorado player to hit the transfer portal as they also are losing leading scorer Isaiah Johnson. Another player that we think UCLA should make a run after. This is a very important offseason for the Bruins. They’re fresh off of back-to-back round of 32 exits. As they look to replenish a roster that is losing 31 points per game in Donovan Dent and Tyler Bilodeau.
