Bob Chesney continues to light the recruiting trail on fire by getting a commitment from 4-star 2027 defensive back Jerry Outhouse Jr. The cornerback who recently decommitted from Georgia, chose the Bruins over many power four schools such as Florida and Texas Tech. Adding to a long list of recruits that Chesney has brought in over the last few weeks. Moving UCLA into a top 10 recruiting class for 2027 already.

Recruiting in college is not easy. You get players to commit and then they change their minds later. But the culture that Chesney is creating is amazing at UCLA. They have the opportunity to have a top 10 class for the first time in 14 years. There is no reason to believe that they will not get these players to sign come signing day. The vibes are immaculate around this program right now and players look genuinely happy to be there.

Outhouse Jr. is a big-time addition to this program. Not only do you beat out other big schools for him. You get the No. 24 ranked player in the state of Texas for 2027. A state that is known for producing great football players. He is the No. 5 ranked corner in the state and No. 22 overall in the country. To top it off, you get a player to choose UCLA over Georgia and that is an absolute turn of what this program has been the last few years.

Outhouse Jr. stands at 6’0 tall and 180 pounds, so he will definitely be able to add on more to his frame. He will be a multi year starter at UCLA if he signs. Has flat out speed and also participates in track and field. He will be able to have a good college career and NFL potential with his physicality and versatility in the defensive backfield. UCLA will be very happy with this addition in the future.
