Now a look at five student athletes that UCLA could potentially bring to Westwood to play basketball for the Bruins next season.
G/SF RJ Luis Jr.
Previous School: St. John's
Luis has length as a 6'7 combo guard who has the size of a small forward. He finds ways to get the basketball by any means necessary, and in transition, he finds ways to score. He was named the Big East Player of the Year and is considered a two-way player who can defend and score.
He would be a perfect replacement for Kobe Johnson, who no longer has eligibility, and with Lazar Stefanovic out of eligibility as well, he would be an ideal replacement for the Bruins. It is unlikely he will transfer to UCLA, but the Bruins have shown a commitment to getting big names in the transfer portal this offseason.
SG KJ Lewis
Previous School: Arizona
Lewis may not have the size and build of Kobe Johnson, but his effort and hustle are on par with his. He, like Luis Jr., excels in transition, and he is able to get fouls to get free throw attempts. He could be a replacement for Stefanovic.
