UCLA Football: The Bruins know their Bowl game and opponent

UCLA is officially going to the LA Bowl to play the Mountain West champions, the Boise State Broncos.
Boise State fired their head football coach Andy Avalos in early November but won their last four games including winning the Mountain West Championship game against UNLV. UCLA on the other hand did not fire their head coach Chip Kelly after the Bruins lost three of their last four games.
The location of the bowl game for UCLA is ideal as it will be played at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA. The match-up is good for the Bruins as well as UCLA is not playing a high-powered power five conference team in their bowl game.
Comparing the teams by analytics and computer-based rankings, has UCLA ranked No. 38 and Boise State No. 51 according to the Massey Ratings. In other rankings, the Bruins are ranked No. 47, and the Broncos are ranked No. 51. In the various computer-based rankings, UCLA is ranked slightly higher than Boise State with the Bruins having a tougher strength of schedule and more quality wins.
