2013 Sun Bowl: Bruins dominate in a familiar bowl game

The second season under Jim Mora was even better than the first. UCLA didn’t make it to the Pac-12 Championship game, but the Bruins did manage to win 10 games with a 42-12 win over Virginia Tech in the Sun Bowl.

Brett Hundley was great passing the ball, throwing for 226 yards and two touchdowns on 16/27 passing, but he was even more effective running it. He led the Bruins in rushing yards with 161 yards and two touchdowns on just 10 carries.

The Bruins finished the year ranked No. 16 in the AP Poll, it was the first season that they ended ranked since 2005 when they finished No. 16 in a 10-win season that concluded with a win in the Sun Bowl.
