UCLA Football and reasons to be proud as a fan of the Bruins

There are many reasons to be a fan of the school and the athletic programs of the university.

UCLA winning this past weekend against a ranked opponent in Washington State has many fans not only relieved but even excited again about the prospects of the Bruins still being in the race to possibly capture the Pac-12 title this season. However, the university and its athletic teams are having a great Fall to start off the school year.

Not many schools and athletic programs can point and look to the success that UCLA is having on and off the field. Let’s take a look at all of the good that is going on in Westwood at this time of the year.

For the 7th year in a row, UCLA is the nation’s No. 1 public university in U.S. News & World Report’s annual rankings. The university continues to be acknowledged as one of the most respected and well-known schools in the country.

No. 1 in the country by Baseball America and No. 1 post-draft class in the country by Perfect Game for UCLA’s incoming baseball team’s recruiting class. The future appears to be very bright for the baseball programs for years to come.

Some argue that UCLA has the best weather in the country via social media. The great location and beautiful campus to go along with the amazing weather make UCLA such a unique and special university.

According to the Center for Sports Analytics at Samford University, UCLA has the most fans in each U.S. region where they are located which compiles 13 states west of the Dakotas. National analysts and people on social media can say all they want about the Rose Bowl not being jam-packed with fans on Saturdays but the data doesn’t lie about how popular UCLA is and how many fans they have in comparison to other schools in nearby cities and states.

The men’s water polo team is 17-0 and ranked No. 1 in the country. This past weekend defeated No. 2 Cal and No. 5 Stanford to remain unbeaten on the season. Water polo may not be a popular sport with many fans but the Bruins water polo team deserves respect and recognition for how well they have performed as a team this year.

According to SkullSparks, the UCLA athletics department has the most subscribers on their official YouTube channel. YouTube is increasing growing in popularity year after year and UCLA having the most subscribers to their official channel is impressive.

According to Top Drawer Soccer, UCLA is ranked No. 2 in the country. They have won their last eight games, undefeated at home, and 5-0 in Pac-12 conference play. They are the defending national champions and they look to keep on gaining momentum in hopes of winning back-to-back titles.

The UCLA football team after a win against the top 15 ranked Washington State moved back into the top 25 AP poll as the No. 18 ranked team in all of college football entering their game coming up against Oregon State. The Bruins are very much in the race to make it to the PAC-12 championship game.

The men’s soccer team has not lost a game since September 17th and has non-conference wins over Virginia Tech and Rutgers. They have also not lost a game in Pac-12 conference play and are now ranked No. 24 in the latest Top Drawer Soccer college soccer rankings.
