UCLA Athletics: This past and current week in soccer, volleyball, water polo, and more

Here is a look back at some of the UCLA sports and the results of their matches and games from the last week and the previous weekend.

Women’s Volleyball has won four straight and some of their victories have been very impressive.

UCLA’s women’s volleyball team won the Long Beach State Tournament.

Women’s Volleyball

UCLA defeated Long Beach State by a score of 3-1 (25-21, 25-20, 23-25, 25-22).

Next up for the women’s volleyball team is the Outrigger Volleyball Challenge where they will play Pepperdine, Liberty, and Hawai’i.

Men’s Water Polo

The UCLA water polo team is undefeated as they went 4-0 in the Triton Invitational. They defeated  UC Santa Barbara 12-8, Cal State Fullerton 18-6, UC Irvine 21-15, and Concordia University Irvine 29-3. They next play Stanford at home on Saturday.

Women’s Soccer

They have not played since August 31, but they are 3-1 currently with wins over Georgia, Cal Poly, and UC Irvine. Their only loss was a road loss to BYU. The Bruins next play Long Beach State.

Men’s Soccer

The UCLA soccer team is 1-1-1 with a win over Virginia Tech, a road loss to James Madison, and they tied CSUN. They next host Rutgers on Saturday.
