The Villanova Wildcats has won three NCAA championships, in 1985, 2016, and 2018 and is considered one of the new bloods among the blue blood programs. They have also appeared in the Final Four four times since 2009, and have won seven Big East regular season championships since 2014.

The Wildcats have had some of the greatest players play for Villanova in recent history including Kerry Kittles, Randy Foye, Kyle Lowry, Josh Hart, Mikal Bridges, Jalen Brunson, and Donte DiVincenzo. They have also been coached by some of the most respected coaches in the game, including Jack Kraft, Rollie Massimino, and Jay Wright.

Villanova is year in and year out a contender to win the Big East Conference and to make a run in the NCAA Tournament. The Wildcats are a team that is always in the mix for a national championship, and they are sure to continue their success in the years to come.

Here are some of the key moments in Villanova men’s basketball history:

1985: Villanova upsets Georgetown to win the NCAA championship.
2016: Villanova defeats North Carolina to win the NCAA championship.
2018: Villanova defeats Michigan to win the NCAA championship.

Villanova men’s basketball deserves to be considered a blue-blood program, and the Wildcats are one of the most successful programs since 2016. Coach Wright retired but Villanova is destined to continue to play well in the years to come.
