Here are a few reasons why UCLA has not played certain teams from the SEC conference like Auburn and South Carolina in football.
Distance: The SEC is located in the southeastern United States, while UCLA is located in Los Angeles, California. This means that any game between UCLA and an SEC team would require a long travel distance for one or both teams.
Conference affiliation: UCLA has been a member of the Pac-12 Conference for a long time, while the SEC has been a separate conference for a long time as well. This means that the two conferences have not had a lot of overlap in their schedules over the years.
Scheduling conflicts: Even when UCLA and SEC teams have been interested in playing each other, scheduling conflicts have often prevented it from happening. For example, both conferences have their own championship games, which can make it difficult to find a mutually agreeable date for a game.
