UCLA Basketball: Top 5 potential non-conference games in 2023

This would be an amazing match-up against two historical basketball programs in the Maui Maui Invitational.

Similar in comparison to North Carolina and UCLA, these two basketball programs historically have been very successful with Kanas having won four national championships, for the seventh-most in the country, and as mentioned earlier, UCLA has captured 11 national championships, which is the most of any program in college basketball history.

UCLA leads the all-time series 10-8. The first meeting between Kansas and UCLA took in 1958 with UCLA winning the game by a score of 75-64. Five times these two programs have played one another have come in NCAA Tournament play with UCLA winning each of those games.

This game if they were to face one another in the Maui Maui Invitational would be an outstanding game to watch against two “blue blood” programs.

History and Game Prediction

Seven games have been played between these two schools since 2000: Kansas has won six out of the seven games against UCLA.

Current Win Streak: The Jayhawks have won the last five games between these two schools, having a five-game winning streak in this series between these two programs.

The last meeting between both schools: Kansas defeated UCLA on a neutral court by a final score of 92-73 in the 2015 Maui Maui Invitational.

*Prediction: If they meet each other in the tournament, Kansas wins in a close game by a final score of 86-80.
