UCLA hasn’t missed a beat to start the NCAA Tournament, winning its first two games to advance to its third consecutive Sweet 16.

The No. 2 seed Bruins, who are +700 to win the National Championship, beat No. 15 seed UNC Asheville in the first round and No. 7 Northwestern as they prepare for the Sweet 16 next weekend. UCLA will face the winner of Gonzaga vs. TCU, who play on Sunday night.

The Bruins have been a National Championship contender all season, but with No. 1 seed in the West Kansas bowing out, among other title hopefuls, on the first weekend, their odds are as short as they have been all season.

UCLA Bruins favored to win West Region

The Bruins entered the NCAA Tournament with injuries to the likes of Jaylen Clark, who will miss the entire NCAA Tournament due to an Achilles injury, but this team has remained dominant and is now the favorite to come out of the West Region at +160, ahead of the next closest team, UConn at +300.

UCLA’s top flight defense, second in KenPom’s adjusted defensive efficiency, and potent offense that is led by veteran guard Tyger Campbell has the Bruins thinking about cutting down the nets on the first Monday in April.
