With UCLA Football’s season on the horizon, it is time to take a look at each position for the Bruins. Up next is the return man position.
UCLA Football will look to receive quality play from their kick returners in 2020, who will be tasked with setting the offense up with good starting field position.
Leading the way is Demetric Felton, the Bruins’ all-purpose stud who will look to continue his success as the team’s primary return man. Last season, Felton had a 100-yard return touchdown against Washington State, his first return touchdown in his second season as the Bruins return man.
Felton, in his senior season, will look to cap off a brilliant career with UCLA with
a few major returns. The Bruins will hope that he, along with Kyle Phillips, can form a dangerous and dynamic return combo this upcoming season, with the hope that both of the two can take pressure off of Dorian Thompson-Robinson and the offense.
The return game is the only given among the Bruins entire special teams unit, so with quality play from both Felton and Phillips, the play of the kicker and punter will ideally be overshadowed, as with two freshmen at those spots there will certainly be some bumps in the road.
