We’ve given predictions for the final standings in the Pac-12, but now we look at how it will shake out with final regular season record predictions.

Ladies and gentlemen, it is almost time for Pac-12 Football.

With that in mind, I will give one last prediction for the Conference fo Champions before the season starts, but add in their records for the regular season. Enjoy.

North Division

  1. Washington, 11-1, 8-1
  2. Stanford, 8-4, 7-2
  3. Washington State, 8-4, 6-3
  4. Oregon, 8-4, 6-3
  5. Cal, 4-8, 2-7
  6. Oregon State, 1-11, 0-9

The first thing you might be wondering is why I have Washington going nearly undefeated, especially in the stacked north, and one of the reasons is that (1) they play a cupcake non-conference schedule and (2) they are by far the best team in the division. Yes, I know that they are losing a lot of players, but I think it is the step back from other North teams that will help UW.

Stanford has not been the team they once were, but they also have a cupcake schedule and have to deal with the digression of other teams. Their two losses in conference should be against Washington and USC (at the Coliseum). Other than that, they should be able to take down other division teams.

Washington State will take a step back because they lose a few key players, including their starting quarterback, Gardner Minshew. Still, they should have another winning season and stay ahead of Oregon, whose hype I do not believe.  Last year they had a healthy Justin Hebert and underachieved. Until they can prove that they are a top conference team, it is just going to be more of the same.

The record doesn’t represent it, but Cal will continue to progress. They have the unfortunate luck of residing in the Pac-12 North, which will do them no favors. And as for Oregon State, the rebuild is on!
