The UCLA football team has added 50 new players to the roster since the end of the 2018 season and Go Joe Bruin introduces you to all of them.
The UCLA football team has had a lot of turnover since Chip Kelly arrived and it did not necessarily stop after his first year as several players have decided to leave the program even after 2018.

But not to worry, Kelly has been recruiting both high school prospects, transfers and walk-ons which has resulted in 50 new players joining the program. With that in mind, Go Joe Bruin gets you familiarized with all of them…

Quarterbacks
Chase Artopoeus*, Chase Griffin, Blake Kirshner*, Colson Yankoff^
Chase Griffin enrolled early and has already participated in spring practice. Right now he appears to be number three on the depth chart. During spring, it looked like the Bruins were only going to be dealing with three quarterbacks, but since then they have added three more, including Washington transfer Colson Yankoff, though he will have to sit out a season due to transfer restrictions.
Running Backs
Christian Grubb, Keegan Jones, Sitveni Kaufusi, Jahmon McClendon, Dusty Mitchell*
At the time of signing day back in February, UCLA had signed three running backs: Jones, Kaufusi and McClendon. Since then, they added speedster Grubb and Mitchell who will be coming in as a walk-on. The interesting thing about this group is that they not only have speed, but they now have power with the addition of Kaufusi and McClendon.
Tight Ends
Michael Church*, Josh Harris^, Michael Martinez
As we saw last season, head coach Chip Kelly is going to utilize a lot of tight ends, so it is good that they are bringing in three for the 2019 season. The most likely to see early playing time will be the talented Michael Martinez who has excellent hands and will be another weapon for the Bruins to use the passing game. The interesting situation involves Harris, who was a JUCO QB, yet he is coming in as a tight end, a position he has never played before.
