The next chapter of Bruin basketball will be here before you know it and we now know how it will all begin. Along with an exhibition game against Stanislaus State on Wednesday, October 30, the Bruins will have 13 games to play in before the conference schedule begins.

Here is the full non-conference schedule:

It’s not exactly the toughest non-conference schedule, as we have seen in recent seasons, but it will help the Cronin-led UCLA basketball team slowly get comfortable with the new system.

UCLA begins the season with five games at home against Long Beach State, UC Santa Barbara, UNLV, Southern Utah and Hofstra, all decent mid-major teams, but things get kicked up a notch when the Bruins head to Hawaii for the Maui Invitational during Thanksgiving Week.

The brackets have not yet been set, but the seven other opponents in the Invitational include BYU, Chaminade, Dayton, Georgia, Kansas, Michigan State, and Virginia Tech.

The Bruins then return home at the start of December with games against San Jose State and Denver. Then they head off to Indiana to play their only true road game of the non-conference season against Notre Dame on December 14.

The Bruins then have another neutral site game as they will take on North Carolina in Las Vegas for the annual CBS Sports Classic. Ohio State and Kentucky will be the other game in the double-header. A week later, they finish up the nonconference schedule with a game against Cal State Fullerton.
