UCLA Baseball is the no. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament
After a historic 2019 season, the Bruins have been named the no. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Baseball Tournament and will host the Los Angeles Regional.
After ten weeks as the no.1 team in the nation, winning the Pac-12 Championship and finishing the regular season 47-8, the UCLA baseball team has claimed the top spot in the NCAA Tournament.

On Sunday, UCLA knew they were one of the top 16 seeds in the tournament as the Regional locations were announced. On Monday, it was confirmed that the Bruins were not only one of the 16, but that they were the top dogs.
The Bruins will begin the double-elimination bracket of the Los Angeles Regional this Friday, May 2 as they take on Omaha at 7 p.m. Baylor and LMU have also been selected to participate in the Los Angeles Regional and will play each other in the first game before UCLA’s at 1 p.m. on Friday. Looking ahead, if UCLA makes it out of the Regional, they will have their work cut out for them as they could face Pac-12 foe Oregon State (pending they win their regional) in the Super Regional. The Beavers are the overall no. 16 seed and will host their regional in Corvallis.
