76. Martell Irby, the power back (up)

Irby was not talked about coming into the 2018 season, but once he got on the field, Bruin fans slowly started to ask, “who is that?” Kelley was the go-to guy, but Irby was the power back. UCLA’s runs were primarily on edge, but now and then, Kelly would need to go up the middle for a few yards. That is were Irby came in, and that is where he is going to shine next season.

77. The ultra-impressive Quentin Lake

How does one replace Jaleel Wadood? It is was hard, but the Bruin coaches found a reliable replacement in safety Lake. The secondary did not seem to skip a beat with Lake in the defensive backfield as he was consistent in coverage and could lay the hit. He is going to be exciting to watch this season as he leads the safeties into battle.

78. Any more player exits?

Though it looks like it has slowed down considerably, we could see more players exit the program. Though it seems as if Kelly is finally getting the players he wants, there is a chance a few situations could change for some players and they will probably want out.

79.  True freshmen getting playing time

Everyone should remember that players can play up to four games and retain their redshirt status.   With that in mind, watch for several true freshmen to get some time on the field next year.

80. Chase Cota, better hair or better hands?

Cota had a few rough patches last season, but he still showed us that he could be a top pass catcher. He will get more reps in 2019 and should continue to impress, but what will be prettier, his receptions or his hair flowing in the wind?
