66. UCLA needs payback against Colorado

Things nearly came together for UCLA in their 4th game of the season in 2018. UCLA had put together their best half of the season to that point as they were stunning Colorado. Unfortunately, the Bruins’ good fortune did not last, and the Buffaloes dominated the second half. Well now it is payback when the Bruins welcome Colorado to the Rose Bowl, and I do not think they will show any sympathy to the Buffs who ended last year losing seven straight which caused the termination of Mike MacIntyre.

67. Who is RB Keegan Jones and will we see him this year?

We know Chip Kelly has recruited speed but we are yet to see any true speedsters make an impact. That will change this season as Kelly has a few to choose from, including Jones who got a few reps in the spring. Though he did not break off any long runs, he had some impressive carries which opened the eyes of a few UCLA fans as we could see him a lot this fall.

68. Osa Odighizuwa‘s time to shine

Odighizuwa was a key figure on the UCLA defensive line last year. Though he only had 29 total tackles, he made a handful of them count as he had six tackles for a loss (tied for third on the team) and three sacks (tied for second on the team). This year he should have more time on the field and as a result, make more key plays.

69. Don Pellum’s suit game will continue to be on fleek

Success is not just about being good, it is about looking good and UCLA’s inside linebacker coach, Don Pellum, is the most dapper one of them all. You can usually find Pellum on high school football sidelines looking like he is about to hit up the Cotton Club, but in reality, like his suits, he is all business. Now if only we can get him to wear a (dark) blue and (subtle) gold combination.

70. Running back by committee (behind Kelley)

Joshua Kelley is going to be RB1, but he is not going to do it alone. When the senior running back needs a breather, Coach Kelly will have several players to choose from and in different situations. My question is, with all of these runners available, will the coach use more two-back sets and power runs? It might be the best way to get the most out of all of the talent at his disposal.
