In episode 206 of the What’s Bruin Show, we talk at length about the recent hiring of Mick Cronin as the latest UCLA basketball head coach.

He is here, and he is to be feared. The UCLA basketball team has finally hired the successor to Steve Alford as Mick Cronin is your new head man in Westwood.

It has been one hell of a ride since Alford was fired back on December 31, 2018, but the result has given the program the shot in the arm it has been in despersate need of with the hiring of a man that has instantly won the hearts of Bruins fans far and near.

In this episode, Jake Merrifield, Jamaal Artis and I discuss what has been a roller coaster ride of a coaching search that has finally ended after 100 days. From John Calipari to Jamie Dixon to Rick Barnes to Mick Cronin, UCLA has unintentionally been at the center of the college basketball world.

We discuss how this all started with the courting of Calipari and the narratives that ensued from that hiring attempt to the UCLA AD coming away with egg on their face after the debacle with Dixon.

Though the process was jarring, it seems to have been settled with the hiring of Cronin. Enjoy.
