2. A Deep and Talent Roster

UCLA did not have a good 2018-19 season. That does not mean they are devoid of talent. Yes, there are a few players that did not develop as they should (I blame the old coach), but there is talent in these players that Cronin should have no problem extracting. There was not a lot to write home about last season, but there were several glimmers of hope. Next season, there will be even more highlights with this squad.

The biggest issue is the lack of depth at point guard. Jaylen Hands just declared for the NBA Draft, leaving Tyger Campbell to carry the load. Other than that, the Bruins are stacked.

With the way he progressed towards the end of last season, Singleton could be one of the more reliable Bruins next season. UCLA will also be able to utilize freshman Jaime Jaquez who will open a lot of eyes.

Moses Brown started last season averaging a double-double but had his stats decrease towards the end of the season. Under Cronin, Brown can grow into his potential and be a dominating big man.

Chris Smith, David Singleton, Jules Bernard, and Jalen Hill (for example) all displayed signs of progress toward the end of the season, which shows that they have the potential to grow. If that is the case, they should excel under Cronin.
