8. Reggie Miller, G (1983-87)

Why Miller is on this list:

There are only four players in UCLA men’s basketball history that have scored over 2,000 points in their career. Reggie Miller is one of those. Despite the team’s up and down performance in his four years, Miller was able to lead the Bruins on several fronts. In sophomore year, he scored 15.2 points per game and helped UCLA to an NIT Championship.

Two years later during his senior year, he was able to lead UCLA to both a Pac-12 regular season and tournament championship. During that season, the three-point line was implemented which helped Miller to 22.3 points per game, shooting 43.9% (69/157) from behind the line. At the time of his graduation, he was second on UCLA’s all-time scoring list behind Bruin legend Lew Alcindor. To this day, Miller holds the season records for most league points (500), highest league scoring average (27.8), and most free throws (202).

After UCLA, he was selected 11th overall in the 1987 NBA Draft by the Indiana Pacers. He spent all 18 years of his professional career in Indiana and is dubbed the greatest player in Pacers’ history. Currently, Miller is an NBA analyst for TNT.
