The Experienced Lineup

  • PG: Jaylen Hands
  • SG: Prince Ali
  • SF: Kris Wilkes
  • PF: Chris Smith
  • C: Alex Olesinski

If Alford needs the most experienced Bruins on the court, this is the lineup to use. Though he does not have a senior on this team, he has five that know and have over a season of experience in this system. All five of these Bruins played significant time last season and will be able to run Alford’s uptempo style with ease.

The Quick Lineup

  • PG: Jaylen Hands
  • SG: Tyger Campbell
  • SF: Jules Bernard
  • PF: Kris Wilkes
  • C:  Jalen Hill

Alford will want his team to go fast and if he has the need for speed, getting his two point guards in the game at the same time will be a smart choice. But who, out of all the players he has at his disposal, will aid this lightning attack? Bernard could be the first guy in the lineup as he can go in and out of the paint at a very quick pace. Wilkes not only has experience, but he has the ability to score from almost anywhere on the court and in Alford’s offense, players are going to be expected to drive the lane as well as put up a lot of shots from the outside. And if they want to turn defense to offense, Hill is a good defensive choice that can also help get the ball downcourt in a hurry.

The Freshmen Lineup

  • PG: Tyger Campbell
  • SG: Jules Bernard
  • SF: David Singleton
  • PF: Shareef O’Neal
  • C: Moses Brown

Alford brought in so much talent that the incoming freshmen could be in at the same time and the gameplay would not skip a beat… potentially. The interesting thing is that this could have been the starting lineup if Hands and Wilkes jumped to the NBA. The Bruins will be able to make some noise with these players, but it is always good to have some leadership. Either way, UCLA will have a lot of interesting lineups to choose from with all of their youth.
