Moses Brown, C, 7-1, 235

Prospect Rating: ★★★★★ | Position Ranking: 4 | National Ranking: 27

What He Brings

Brown brings a dominating attitude (especially with rebounding) to the Bruins which they will need after losing Thomas Welsh and Gyorgy Goloman who were two of the top three rebounders from last season. Brown cannot only clean the glass but he can put the ball in the basket with an array of vicious dunks. He also has a good basketball IQ and vision. He always seems to know where to be on the court and is always attentive to where the ball is. Either way, he is going to throw his size and weight around this season as he makes a mark on college basketball.

How He Will Fit

With the skill Brown possesses and the need to replace two graduating big men, it would not be a surprise if Brown started at center for the Bruins. He will be able to read and react to situations very quickly which will be a positive in this up-tempo style of basketball. If he can add a little bit of weight before the season starts, that would also help them dominate the paint which he has the potential to do.

How Many Minutes Will He Play

20-30 minutes. Brown should be a starter and if he can play consistently, he could see minutes closer to 30 per night, but it will be hard to give him a ton of time with several talented players in the frontcourt.

Next. The UCLA Basketball All-Time Team. dark

UCLA doesn’t have a lot of upperclassman experience, but they did reload with a lot of young talent. It might take the Bruins a few games to kick things in the high gear, but expect this UCLA basketball team to play fast and score a lot of points throughout the 2018-19 season. Go Bruins!
