Jules Bernard, SG, 6-6, 200

Prospect Rating: ★★★★ | Position Ranking: 10 | National Ranking: 55

What He Brings

Bernard could be one of the best players on the team this coming season. Not only does he bring talent but explosiveness. Another thing that he will use to his advantage is the fact that he’s left-handed. Though he’s able to go to his right, being able to attack from the left side of the court will give UCLA firepower on all sides. He can play the 2 and the 3 spot, so he can be used in multiple offensive situations.

He can also assimilate to the tempo of the game. He has no problem playing at a slower pace, but can also put on the afterburners and run down the court when needed. With the Bruins looking to play fast, they will have a speedster in Bernard helping to direct the flow of the game.

How He Will Fit

Along with Campbell, Bernard will bring some stability and control to the Bruins. They’re going to want to play fast, and getting up and down the court is something the Bruins are going to have to take control of and make sure they do not turn over the ball.

How Many Minutes Will He Play

20-30 minutes. Steve Alford typically utilizes an eight-man rotation but could add a few more players into the mix with all the talent on this roster. That might make for fewer minutes for everyone, but Bernard has the talent to keep him on the floor a little longer than most.
