UCLA Basketball: Predicting the Bruins’ 2018-19 record
Non-Conference Schedule (cont.)
-Wed, Nov 28 vs Hawai’i (W) 6-1
-Sun, Dec 2 vs Loyola Marymount (W) 7-1
-Sat, Dec 8 vs Notre Dame (W) 8-1
-Sat, Dec 15 vs Belmont (W) 9-1
-Wed, Dec 19 at Cincinnati (L) 9-2
Nom, nom. Cupcakes and beef.
UCLA gets a few more easy games, but they will be mixed with two beefy opponents. Hawai’i and LMU should be automatic “Ws”, but then the Bruins get their first challenge at Pauley Pavilion when Notre Dame comes to town. The historical thorn in UCLA’s side returns for a battle this fall as the two try to reignite an old rivalry. Fortunately for UCLA, they are pretty good at home and should get the win here.
With another cupcake in Belmont, the Bruins should be 9-1, but will not get their 10th win when they travel to Cincinnati. The Bruins were brutalized by the Bearcats last season at Pauley and even though the roster has more talent, it should be a tough task to get the win in Cincy.
CBS Sports Classic (Chicago)
-Sat, Dec 22 vs Ohio State (W) 10-2
This will be a marquee game, but Ohio State has not exactly been a powerhouse as of late. Though the Bruins had a tough start to their CBS Sports Classic experience, opening at 0-2, they have since won their last two games. With their talent, they should roll the Buckeyes.
-Sat, Dec 29 vs Liberty (W) 11-2
Another cupcake. Another win. UCLA should be 11-2 by the end of their non-conference schedule.
