In episode 170 of the ‘What’s Bruin Show’, we take a look at some UCLA football headlines, including the exit of six players. We also reminisce with a small discussion about our favorite three-stars.

In this episode, the band is back together as your hosts Bill Shirley, Jake Merrifield and I return for our first full episode in over a month. Sorry. We have been very busy.

But we did not venture into Bruin talk alone as guest host Jamaal Artis joined us for some UCLA football conversation, how the baseball and softball teams ended their post-seasons and players exiting Chip Kelly’s program.

We start with an extended version of Go Joe Bruin headlines as we look at what has been going on around the athletic department in the last two weeks.

The biggest news is what happened in Oklahoma City and Minneapolis as the UCLA softball and baseball teams fought their way through their respective post-season tournaments. Unfortunately, both ended up without hardware.

With the changing of the guard of UCLA football, there are bound to be a few players that will look for a better fit with another program. There have already been a handful of players that have left the team, but in the last week alone, six more said good bye to UCLA and we discuss why this is and what it means for the program.

So who is your favorite 3-star rated UCLA football player? We talk about some of our favorites that were not highly recognized out of high school, but somehow ended up 5-star ballers in our hearts.
