UCLA Football: Chip Kelly’s record versus the teams on the 2018 schedule
Oregon Ducks | HC Record (0-0) | OC Record (0-0) | Total (0-0)

Clearly, a team can’t beat themselves, unless you play for Jim Mora. Come this fall, Chip Kelly will face Oregon for the first time since he left, taking on a team of his creation, of sorts.

After Kelly left, the program was in the hands of Mark Helfrich, who did a good job, but not good enough for Oregon standards, especially when his Ducks dropped to 4-8 in 2016, two years after winning the Rose Bowl on his way to (losing) the National Championship Game.
He was replaced by Willie Taggart who essentially had a cup of coffee in Eugene for one season before bolting for Florida State. Well things are not so bad as Mario Cristobal is now in control and a lot is expected of Oregon in 2018.
So what will things be like this year when this new creation faces Kelly? For one thing, since it will be in Autzen Stadium, it is going to be loud and you can expect the Ducks fans to let Kelly know how they feel.
Yet Kelly could come out triumphant in this game and could be 1-0 agents his former club. If not, he goes down 0-1 and will not have a chance to get revenger until 2021 when the Ducks are back on UCLA’s rotating schedule.
