Despite battling criticism for his apparent attitude and injuries, Rosen was able to get selected in the top 10 which would not have happened if Arizona did not trade up with the Oakland Raiders for the pick.
Aside from all the bad press he has been getting, the Cardinals are getting one hell of an athlete. Though he was not the first Qb picked in the draft, he has been heralded as the most “NFL ready quarterback” in this year’s class.
For those that have watched Rosen in action the last three years know that he is a pure passing threat when he steps up to the line. From his mechanics to his decision making to is incredibly strong and accurate arm, Rosen has all the tools to step in and help the Cardinals up their offensive game.
Last season, Rosen was one of the top QBs in the nation despite the UCLA Bruins finishing 6-7. With a work-in-progress offensive line, a higher than average drop percentage from his receivers and very little help in the run game, Rosen was able to throw for 3,756 yards (14th in the nation).
Now mind you, that was only in 10 1/2 out of 13 possible games. Rosen missed 2 1/2 games due to injury (lacking of blocking, really) and still had the second most yards per game with 341.5, good for second in the nation.

There is no doubt Rosen was impressive in college, but he should develop into a beast with the Arizona. The NFC West is one of the toughest divisions in the NFL, but with Rosen and the pieces around them, they could be a threat next season. Congratulations, Josh!
