UCLA Football: Post spring practice projected 2-deep depth chart
Special Teams
K: J.J. Molson, Adam Straunch
P: Stefan Flintoft, Austin Kent
LS: Johnny Den Bleyker
This is essentially the depth special teams had last season. All of these players came into the program about the same time and have grown with each other so one should expect the specialists to continue their success, if not improve under the new regime.
Molson is still the top choice for kickoffs, extra points and field goals. Last season he made marked improvements and should be clutch when called upon this coming season. Straunch has been a reliable backup, but who knows if we will see him on the field in 2018.
Flintoft overthrew Kent as the starter under Mora and was deadly manning the punting game. He was able to repeatedly pin balls inside the 20 yard line, giving the defense room to breathe. He has kept that consistency in spring as he is expected retain the starting spot. As for Den Belyker, well, when you are solid at your position, you really don’t need a backup.
Final Word
Remember, these are just projections. What we see in the fall could be completely different from what we see here, but looking at the progression and development of certain players, some these predictions seem to be a lock.
But remember, there are still lot of freshmen that are coming in this fall and they were all hand picked by Kelly as they are players that he believes can help execute his game plan. They are long and fast and will help boost the Bruins efforts.

Still, what Kelly has at has disposal can help turn the UCLA football program around. Though they have several things to work on (perfecting the offense is a big one), they are on the right path. Go Bruins!
