If an NFL team wants to anazlye former UCLA football quarterback Josh Rosen, they need to focus on what they see him do on the field rather than listen to all the negative second-hand nonsense off the field.

It is astonishing that we are this close to the NFL Draft and scouts still have doubts about former UCLA football player Josh Rosen.

The most absurd part of all of this is the fact that people are judging Rosen based on what they hear about the future pro. What NFL executives, scouts and analysts need to do is drown out the noise and simply watch Rosen perform.

In the last week, several mock drafts have had Rosen slipping out of the top five spots. With the talent Rosen possesses, it has been said that he could be the overall #1 pick in the NFL Draft, but apparent issues off the field have teams concerned.

A few weeks ago, I wrote a piece laying to rest the issues Rosen had with injuries, which boiled down to the fact that there are simply no issues. Getting hurt in a game does not make a player prone to injury or means he suffers from chronic injuries.

What Rosen has sustained in his time at UCLA was the direct cause of bad blocking from an average offensive line. And yet, Rosen still had the second best passing yards per game in the nation last season (341.5).

I guarantee, if UCLA had a stellar O-line, there would be zero talk about his injuries. That leads into another point about analysts and how they need to watch Rosen rather than hear what is said about Rosen. We have heard so many negative things about Rosen’s personality and though he may be cocky, the things being said about him are being blown out of proportion.

Let’s run down the list, shall we?

Rosen is not coachable. His teammates don’t like him. He has an attitude. He is not fully dedicated to football. He wants baby seals dead.

Okay, that last one is completely made up, but it is not as outlandish as some of the other things said about Rosen.
