In episode 154 of the What’s Bruin Show, the guys welcome a very special guest as former Bruin QB Wayne Cook chats about UCLA Football.
In this latest episode, hosts Jake Merrifield and I welcome back LA Sports Hub writer Jamaal Artis to fill in for the traveling Bill Shirley. What an episode for Shirley to miss because we had the pleasure of welcoming former UCLA Football quarterback and the voice of IMG’s College Sports Now podcast, Wayne Cook.

We have been blessed to have a variety of former Bruins and UCLA-related guests on our show and this on is no different. In fact, Cook was such a pleasure to have on and was so candid that he could have taken over the show all by himself.
Still, we were lucky to get his hot takes on everything from UCLA’s firing of Jim Mora to the hiring of Chip Kelly to the direction of recruiting to UCLA’s Cactus Bowl invitation, as well as his (really) honest opinion about LaVar Ball and family.
It is 30 minutes of podcast gold!
After that epic interview, we move onto some basketball talk as we look at what led up to UCLA’s loss to Michigan over the weekend and what is to be expected from their matchup agaisnt #25 Cincinnati this weekend.
We then finish the show with what was suppose to be another interview, this time from an English singer from a famous 80s band, but as he does, he cancelled. Instead he called in to cheer on the Bruins. Sort of.
Next: Commits, decommits and moving forward with UCLA recruiting
