UCLA Football Recruiting: Bruins land 3-star OL Alec Anderson
With the changes going on with the UCLA football team, the Bruins landed an offensive lineman, 3-star Alec Anderson, hours after the Bruins lost their final OL commit from the Jim Mora era.
This is what we should expect for the next several months, if not years. This is the Chip Kelly effect. Flipping recruits and bulking up the roster. The new head coach of the UCLA football team is already making a statement on the recruiting trail and has paid off as he has landed his second recruit since taking over in Westwood just over a week ago.

Earlier this week, UCLA got a huge commitment from 3-star speedster, RB Kazmeir Allen.
The Bruins got another commitment today from 3-star Alec Anderson (Etiwanda HS/Rancho Cucamonga, CA) mere hours after the Bruins lost their last OL commitment. Earlier in the day, 3-star Trey Stratford flipped to Stanford.
Anderson is the first offensive linemen to commit to Kelly and OL coach Hank Fraley, who is one of the few coaches staying on from the Jim Mora era.
It is speculated that Kelly will continue his uptempo style and with that needs players that fit the scheme. At 6’5″, 283 lbs., Anderson is pretty agile, which the Bruins need, especially at the tackle position, which is what he seems naturally suited to play. He has good size and strength and if he can get used to tempo, he should be an effective lineman in the coming seasons.

Anderson is the 15th commit the Bruins have on for the 2018 cycle. Despite the play on the field under Mora, he was putting together a very exciting class. Two of the biggest commits for the Bruins are 4-star dual threat QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson and CB Olaijah Griffin. Let see if Kelly can build on that.
