The UCLA Basketball team kicks off their 2017-18 campaign in interesting fashion against Georgia Tech as they set to tip-off in Shanghai… with a few players missing.
The UCLA Basketball team has had an interesting week leading up to their 2017-18 season opener against Georgia Tech. It was suppose to be all fun and games as the Bruins and Yellow Jackets were suppose to take in a week of Chinese culture on a goodwill tour leading up to the Pac-12’s China Game, but things have not turned out as planned.

Three freshmen, LiAngelo Ball, Jalen Hill and Cody Riley, were all arrested for an alleged shoplifting incident at a Louis Vuitton store near their hotel in Hangzhou, China. All three will not play on Friday and probably won’t even leave China for 20 days.
Though the Bruins are down three players, Georgia Tech has two players dealing with their own issues. Last season’s leading scorer Josh Okogie was not going to play on Friday due to a dislocated finger suffered in one of GT’s exhibition games, but he has bigger problems. Okogie and senior Tadric Jackson have been suspended by Georgia Tech for accepting benefits. Until the NCAA clears them, they will not yet see the court. T
